Saturday; Mexican&Mirage*

Saturday was an action packed day. It started off with a few episodes of ‘Supernatural’, followed by an epic soccer game at Soccer Center south (Congrats Julie! 1-0!), a quick drive home to shower, then off to Pam’s house for steak&convo…and a freak storm! & It was so nice outside…sigh. Quick departure from there to ‘Julios Barria’ on Memorial (thankfully, I neither got lost – nor had a problem finding parking), and I met up with Kuba, and met a few new people. The restaurant wasn’t terrible, and had real opportunity to be an awesome place…but I just never got it. It seemed a very lifeless restaurant/bar; even though it was pretty full.

Once the rest of the girl’s friends showed up – we decided to head down to ‘Mirage’, with our bullet-proof vests, of course. Mirage is a sheesha/shisha bar – and actually quite a nice place (Although, if you Google it – you only see the gun shootings there). The outside gives it a real ghetto look, but once you get in – it’s actually pretty chill. The music wasn’t bad, service was pretty good, and the company was great.

I ended up leaving approximately 2:00-2:30, and made it into Okotoks at around 3:00…just in time to see a Ghost car – and watch him bust a U-turn to pull me over. Of course. Get this…for not having license-plate lights. I mean, honestly? Oh, but it gets better…my insurance paperwork was expired. For the second time…come on!! Lucky for me (just this once) the cop let me off without a ticket. I have no idea how, or why, but I got let off without a ticket? The guy must’ve been in one helluva good mood. That’s all I’m saying.
