Dead in Dallas

Alright, the title is completely just a book title of a book I enjoyed reading…and completely opposite of my time in Dallas…unless we’re talking about the insane amount of meat we ate this weekend. Those animals might as well have lined up in front of us for the mash-fest that occurred. Without further ado, here was the weekend:

Friday – September 4th, 2009

- Downed Anub’arak hardmode (10M)

- Pulled an all-nighter to avoid sleeping in for my flight

Saturday – September 5th, 2009

- Arrived at the Airport at 5:00 AM

- Made it through customs/security in 15 minutes

- Arrived at DFW Airport @ 11:45 AM

- Got lost in the airport momentarily

- Met up with the infamous Jeddia <3

- Went to a Chinese food place called “Pei Wei’s”

- Got a fortune cookie which says: “You are talented in many ways…in bed”

(You always have to add “in bed” to the end of your fortune cookies, if you didn’t know that rule – you are bad)

- Went on a in depth tour of GameStop HQ/Warehouse

(Made my puny warehouse feel…miniscule, and was awesome. I wish I had a Wii/Xbox at every break room)

- Went to “Boi Na Braza” – an all you can eat meat house

(The spiced beef and filet mignon made me drool. Just a bit. Okay, fine – a lot…)

- Hung w/ Marty, Sharayah, Mark & Marla

(Mau! Ace of Spades! Have a very, very, very, very, very nice day)

- Passed out in hotel room

Sunday – September 6th, 2009

- Went to Starbucks for breakfast!

(Ate a nommy yogurt parfait, and drank an orange/strawberry drink of some sort. Mmmm)

- Went to church

(Was a good church – and I especially liked the youth (high school/college) sesh after. They played ‘Blur – Song 3’, which was a remake of that famous Blur song… I say WOOOOHOOO)

- Headed to “Red Hot & Blue” Nomnom.

(Half a rack of Sweet ribs, left over of Natedawgs dry ribs, Memphis fries, hush puppies, and some biscuits…Drool)

- Went to Six Flags

(35 Degree weather, and 1.5 hour lines were made worth it due to the company we kept, and the T I T A N !!)

- Slurpees, the Wendy’s experiment & Star Trek?

(Coke Slurpees = Amazing. Wendy’s was great, but the great myth of American serving sizes being huge was a letdownL, and Star Trek was one of the best movies of the year. It was very well done – and awesome actors. And, Nyota Uhura is fiiine)

- Pass out

(Actually, I read for a few minutes (Tanya Huff) and then passed out…<3sleep)

Monday – September 7th, 2009

- Woke up and went to California Pizza Kitchen

(California Pizza Kitchen TASTY nomnom – pepperoni pizza)

- Adventure for a slurpee…

(GPS Failed us and took us to a non-existent store, so Jeddia had to re-trace our steps to discover the lost land of “7-11”)

- Big Bang Theory

(Watched several episode of ‘Big Bang Theory’, which is amazing. I can’t wait to watch the rest!)

And then the saddest part of the weekend…the long flight home. We got through customs/security very easily, and I managed to stay entertained on the flight by talking to some 29 year old girl who was sitting next to me who spent her weekend partying…Honestly, not the most entertaining girl ever (and by that, I mean shoot me kinda boring) – but it was better than the alternative of attempting to sleep with my neck at an unhealthy angle. Plus, she did solve my mystery of why Calgary didn’t have the fancy lights on the road that Dallas did…stupid snow plows! IH8YOU.

But, I love you, Longoria family! Thank you for everything. It was an amazing time, and i'll be forever grateful.
